Recent statistics paint a positive picture of the property market, both locally and nationally.
According to the house price statistics for small areas (HPSSAs), St Edmundsbury has enjoyed steady growth in median house prices since 2015. At that time, the median prices for a detached house was £320,000. By the third quarter of 2018, however, the median price of a detached house in St Edmundsbury was £377,000. This compared with £340,000 in Suffolk, and £339,995 in England.
Similarly, in Mid Suffolk, the median price for a detached house increased from £300,000 in 2015 to £350,000 in 2018. Likewise, in Babergh the median price for a detached house was £325,000 in 2015 and £375,000 in 2018.
