FINGER ON THE PULSE
Finger on the pulse
My valuation team and I have been extremely busy with market appraisals (property valuations) since the start of January, and the requests are still flowing in. Maybe (hopefully) it’s a sign that people are starting to feel generally more settled than they perhaps felt prior to the election when there were so many uncertainties regarding what might happen in 2020.
For my team and I, the start of this new year has been both heartening and reassuring. Regardless of all the speculation by property pundits about what this year might have in store, nothing ultimately carries more weight than the behaviour of those on the property market.
As new properties are valued and put on the market, this concurrently makes the market more interesting for prospective buyers too. Those who are considering a move are discovering new houses to pique their interest and as offers come in, vendors become buyers and so the cycle continues... I believe that this freshening up of the property market, combined with the time of year i.e. with spring just around the corner, is an excellent catalyst and should deliver positive results moving forward. I, for one, am pleased to sense this buoyancy in the waters of the property market and look forward to seeing what the next quarter brings.
If you’re searching for your next house, or you’re considering moving then do feel welcome to draw on the experience of the team at Sheridans – we’re always delighted to help with both valuations and sales progression. Whatever the market conditions, we will support you to make the very most of your opportunity on the property market.
